Free Coffee!

Another Monday, and it's the week spring starts! Hopefully you all got a free Starbucks (or two or three) on Thursday, and now it's free Dunks iced-coffee on Wednesday!

Knew you'd enjoy a shot or two of the weekend, particularly the next one...

We drove up to Vermont in the storm on Friday, while about 25 plows took care of anyone on the south-bound side of the highway rather than our side. Got a good hard day of skiing in powder at Sugarbush on Saturday, and finished up the day with a bonfire and corned beef & cabbage - thanks Sarah! Sunday was a great snowshoe with all the dogs, and an afternoon visit to see friends Kim & Dave, and the work they've been doing on their home in Bethel, VT. Unfortunatley, we got home pretty late last night and sank right into bed.

Next weekend is one final push to our unusually social winter... Sunday River, ME with Gary's co-workers!

Gary and I have been running in the great outdoors lately, and got back out on our bikes a couple of days last weekend! We're still looking to raise more money for our 50-mile Bike for Brain Tumor Research (May 20th), so if you are able to contribute to our experience, please click here for Gary's page or click here for Stacey's! This event means a lot to us, as our friends Nathan and Kim must rise above his brain cancer every single day.

With that, we wish you all a happy start to SPRING!

Another YURTastic Adventure!

We're coming off another beautiful weekend in the great outdoors!

This time we had eight of us - and three exhausted dogs! - together for two nights in a yurt in Huntington, Vermont. If you're not familiar with a yurt, it's a Mongolian tent design that is basically a permanent round tent - complete with bunk beds, a wood stove, and propane stove/cooking supplies. We used this company for the trip: http://www.otloose.com/

Anyway, it was a great group including Gary & I, Rich & Sarah, Emily, cousin Nicole, and new friends Jen & Kathryn! Bromley's friends Rubin and Toro joined as well! The sun was shining and we had a blast snowshoeing and building sled jumps, etc.

Been listening to Citizen Cope after hearing his great sound this weekend - you can use the media player on the site http://www.citizencope.com/.

This weekend will be a much-needed one back on the homefront! Gary back in the boat-barn, presumably, and me getting some errands out of the way. We can't wait to hear news this week about our new little niece or nephew!

Hope everyone's doing well out there, ready for one more very cold week. Then it's soon time to change the clocks and start searching for a matching pair of flip-flops in your closet!
