Bring on the Fall!

So you think you don’t want the summer to come to an end, but then who doesn’t love fall clothes shopping? Who doesn’t love the thought of apple-picking, hiking, putting a pumpkin on your doorstep…? We just got back from the mountains and another glimpse of the gorgeous foliage that’s already showing. Eight of us went up to North Conway for some camping (in the new tent!), hiking off the Kancamangus, and shopping. Sure it’s still 80 degrees, but everyone seems to be calling it fall already!

And…. I GOT SKIS!!! I’m very excited to finally have a pair that is suited to my own abilities and body type – after buying my last couple of pairs from ski swaps. They’re gooorgeous. I love them. The bug was in the air, with Kate buying boots, and Rachel buying boots, bindings, skis, and poles! Bring on the snow this year, I tell ya.

Happy birthday to Kelly this week – the big 3-0! And welcome back to Brodeur, Jess :-)

Vermont Labor Day

What a GREAT weekend up in Vermont! Thanks to the Pashbys - always the bestest hosts ever, and the hardest to say goodbye to on Sunday (or in this case, Monday) nights! We had a wonderful time, running a 5k with the birthday girl, hiking about four miles on Burnt Rock, and filling the in-between time with food, drink, and laughter.

Now we look ahead to some close-to-home weekends this fall! Patriots opener this Sunday, and camping/hiking the following weekend. We technically need a tent, but could go without it. I technically need skis, and definitely won't go without them :-) Those are big purchases... and how did I get so excited for ski season this year?! Weird.
